轉造級滾珠螺桿搭配研磨級螺帽取代了傳統艾克姆導螺桿、梯形導螺桿之傳動方式，可提升運轉順暢度、降低摩擦力及軸向背隙之優點，製造過程中轉造級與研磨級滾珠導螺桿除了在導程精度 Lead Accuracy 的誤差之定義與幾何公差有所差異外，亦可用相同預壓方式來消除軸向背隙。

滾珠螺桿本身製造過程中採用較為精密的製造流程，所以其背隙的誤差很小，較適合作精密定位使用。滾珠螺桿的精度等級 Accuracy Grade，等級 Grade 區別 C0級、C1級、C2級、C3級、C5級，等級越高，越精密的螺桿，其價格相對的就較高，Travel Length 滾珠螺桿在其行程越長時，所能維持的精度也就越低。
